Hi! My name is Kim and I'm an oil painter from Perth, Western Australia. My paintings are a fusion of landscape, surrealism and portraiture, each piece a captivating portal to a world both familiar and fantastical.

Through my art, I strive to ignite a sense of wonder and contemplation, where soulful portraits whisper secrets; and dreamlike landscapes blur the lines of reality.

By weaving these elements together, I invite the viewer to embark on their own exploration, to wander in the unknown, and discover the narratives and emotions nestled within the layers of oil paint. 

For the past 10 years, I've honed my craft, dedicating myself to weaving these worlds within my mind onto canvas. My formal education at university in Fine Art and Art & Design studies, followed by an Honours degree in painting, has provided a strong foundation in technique and artistic theory. 

I'm often inspired by our connection to nature, the subconscious, and perhaps how these intertwine. I'm an obsessive reader of fantasy and science fiction, and I have a deep love for film and cinema. This inherent escapism and adoration for the fantastical, has naturally translated into the imaginative artwork I create today. 

I welcome you to a space where escapism isn't frivolous, but a potent tool for understanding ourselves and the world around us.
